About High Desert Human Design

High Desert Human Design began as a gathering rooted in curiosity, connection, and a shared devotion to living this work in real time.

High Desert Human Design was founded in 2021 by Jonah Dempsey, Michael Stenbaek Litven, and Jenny Vee. What began as a gathering of seventy people at Jonah's home and around Santa Fe has grown into something far larger.

In year two, the conference moved to bigger venues. Year after year, the spark Jonah lit held strong. More people found their way to it. The conference grew. The integrity deepened.

By 2023 and 2024, the gathering had become a living field. One hundred and fifty-eight people showed up. And something was clear: what began as a spark had roots now.

In this sixth year, Brandy Jordan steps into stewardship of the conference. This is not a departure from what Jonah built. It is the next maturation of it.

A five-year arc has given this gathering its foundation. The sixth year opens a new vantage point. A wider view. A deeper embodiment. A more lived relationship with the wisdom at the center of this work.

The heart of HDHD remains. The ethos remains.

What opens is the depth of the container. The architecture of how the four days are held. The way teachings, workshops, and embodied experience move together. The way the field carries forward long after the event is over.

This is a conference for people at every level of relationship with Human Design. Those who are brand new. Those who have been in this work for years. Those who are looking for a room where what is being practiced is real.

High Desert Human Design is more than an event.

A New Stewardship

As the conference enters its sixth year, stewardship is held by Brandy Jordan.

This transition reflects a natural maturation of the field itself. The sixth line carries a different orientation. It holds perspective. It holds integration. It holds the long view of what sustains.

Brandy’s work centers on embodiment, emotional presence, and the lived integration of Human Design within real relationships and real life. Her approach does not position Human Design as something to master conceptually, but as something to inhabit, test, and refine through experience.

Under her stewardship, High Desert Human Design continues as a working space.

A place where:

  • practitioners deepen their own experiment
  • facilitators teach from lived experience rather than abstraction
  • participants engage with the material through their bodies, their relationships, and their current life.

The Shape of the Gathering

High Desert Human Design is not structured as a single track or a linear curriculum.

It is organized as a living field.

Offerings unfold across multiple spaces at once:

  • workshops
  • lectures
  • experiential sessions
  • outdoor and field-based integrations
  • informal gatherings and shared spaces

Participants move through what calls them, when it calls them.

This structure reflects the understanding that people do not learn in the same way or at the same pace. The conference is designed to meet individuals where they are and allow the next layer of their process to emerge through direct experience.

The Spiral

At the center of this phase of High Desert Human Design is a deeper integration with the Spiral framework.

The Spiral is not a curriculum. It is a map of movement.

It recognizes that development happens in cycles, not steps. That each person is moving through multiple layers of life at once. That insight alone does not create change. Practice does.

Through this lens, the conference becomes part of a larger ecosystem:

  • the live gathering
  • the ongoing practice spaces
  • the WisdomKeeper pathway
  • the extended field of learning that continues beyond the event

The intention is continuity.

What begins here continues.

WHAT THIS IS

High Desert Human Design holds a particular orientation.

It is:

  • a space for lived practice
  • a space for relational learning
  • a space where emotional presence becomes central to how we work with this system
  • a space where teaching and learning happen simultaneously

It is built for people who are engaging their design in real life.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE

You will find people in process.
You will find teachers who are still students of their own lives.
You will find conversations that move beyond certainty and into exploration.
You will find structure that supports experience, rather than replacing it.

You will find a field that is shaped by participation.

Moving Forward

High Desert Human Design continues to evolve through the people who gather within it.

This next phase carries a steady orientation:
to support embodiment
to deepen relational intelligence
to create spaces where Human Design lives as a daily practice

The conference remains what it has always been at its core:

A place to meet yourself, in the presence of others, through the lens of this system, and to continue walking it forward in your own way.
